4. Bubblemaker
Are you ready for your child to embark on a thrilling underwater journey? Introducing Bubblemaker, an exciting PADI program specially crafted for kids aged 8-10 years old. It is more than just scuba diving; it is a chance for your little ones to blow bubbles and discover the wonders of the underwater world. Think of Bubblemaker as a kid-friendly version of a Discover scuba dive, tailored to make the experience both safe and incredibly enjoyable. Unlike traditional dives, this program skips the complex skills and takes place in the inviting waters around our dock, ensuring a maximum depth of 6ft/2m.

3. PADI Rescue Course
One of the most challenging programs we offer at Buddy Dive is the PADI Rescue Diver course and therefore also one of the most fun. The Rescue program prepares you to help prevent diving emergencies of any kind, through various techniques. This program is the last recreational program that PADI offers before the professional courses start. In addition to gaining lots of theoretical knowledge, the Rescue course improves your skills and self-confidence as a diver. This three- to four-day course is perfect for you if you are truly dedicated to scuba diving and safety. At Buddy, we see that many participants take this dive course because they enjoy diving with others but also feel responsible for them. 2. Lionfish Hunter Course
Are you ready to protect the ocean from the invasive Lionfish? Then this course is something for you. This training provides you with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely remove these invasive predators and help restore balance in vulnerable marine ecosystems. This course can only be conducted on Bonaire, due to the unique way in which the lionfish are caught. The Lionfish are caught with a unique spear that doesn’t cause damage to the reef (like for example the Hawaiian sling, which is prohibited to use on Bonaire). During this course, you will learn all the skills you need to become a Lionfish hunter through the instructions and two dives. Because the Lionfish have no natural enemies, they can reproduce quickly, but with you as a hunter, we ensure that the Lionfish does not take over the entire ocean, at Buddy Dive we offer you this opportunity.
1. Reef Renewal Diver Course
How cool is it to give nature a helping hand while doing what you love? During the Reef Renewal course, you will learn all reef renewal techniques you need for the restoration process. The course consists of classroom sessions and three training dives. During the training, you will work on all the activities that are conducted in the nurseries and restoration sites. Meanwhile, the Reef Renewal Foundation works together with nine dive operators on the island, but did you know that Buddy Dive is the founding partner of Reef Renewal? From the first minute, we were aware of the impact we can have when we work together to keep the reef healthy and beautiful.
