Caribbean Islands Manta ConservationHosted at Buddy Dive Resort
Join the Caribbean Islands Manta Conservation Program for a FREE Manta Monday Presentation!
We’re excited to invite you to this enlightening event, which will take place at Blennies restaurant within the Buddy Dive Resort on 25th of September, starting at 4:30 PM.
Although sightings of manta rays in Bonaire are rare, they do happen, and CIMCP is on a mission to gather more data. Their efforts are focused on raising awareness about the presence of five, possibly even six, species of mobulid rays in the Caribbean Islands. These engaging presentations are open to the public, require no RSVP, and offer valuable insights into the local ray populations. Discover what they’ve already learned and find out how you can actively participate in research as a citizen scientist.
The Caribbean Islands Manta Conservation Program, an affiliate of the UK-based non-profit organization Manta Trust, is committed to researching and safeguarding manta ray populations worldwide. Nicole, the project leader of the Caribbean Islands Manta Conservation Program, moved to Bonaire nearly two years ago, bringing her expertise to this vital initiative. Her background includes conducting master’s research on manta rays and serving as a project leader for the Manta Trust’s Maldives Conservation Program.
